Who we are

“The art we want must be like a prayer that springs from passionate hearts, from hearts that are used to experiencing the beauty of sacred mysteries.”

Founded in Milan in 1921 by Monsignor
Giuseppe Polvara, the Beato Angelico School Foundation is one of the most interesting and prolific sites on the relationship between the Church and the arts.
In its centuries-long experience in Italy and abroad, the School, animated by the Beato Angelico religious family, has built numerous ecclesiastical buildings, adapted many churches, created thousands of altars, paintings, frescoes, mosaics and objects for worship.
